MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDING HEAD OF PRIMARY

As we look back on our founding year through the pages of this yearbook, it is remarkable to reflect on just how much has been achieved in such a short space of time. Each photograph captures not only a moment, but the beginning of a story - our story as the Harrow International School Bengaluru - Primary School community.

This has truly been a year of firsts. Our first assemblies and Values Champion celebrations, our first-class assemblies, our first performances and productions - from the Diwali - Festival of Light to our Christmas shows to our KS2 Production - our first residentials and trips, including Creativity Circus, Nandi Hills, and RD Nature Reserve. We hosted the first Stet Fortuna Cup, as well as taking part in other inter-school competitions, where we saw students represent the school in swimming, athletics, chess, electronics and team sports, and celebrated success both in participation and achievement. Each of these milestones has helped shape the identity of our school and laid strong foundations for the future.

What has been most special, however, is how the Harrow Values Courage, Honour, Humility and Fellowship - have come to life in everything we do. They are not simply words on a page, but something we see lived out daily - in the classrooms through curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning; in the playground through kindness, friendship, and inclusion; in the canteen through respect and responsibility; and beyond the school gates on trips, competitions, and residentials where our students have represented the school with pride and integrity.

There have been so many memorable moments: children taking to the stage with confidence during performances, engaging in thoughtful discussions during assemblies, supporting one another through our Buddy System, and stepping into leadership roles as Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains and School Council Representatives. We have seen creativity flourish through Art, Music, Drama, Languages and Physical Education, and have celebrated achievements through LAMDA results, sporting success, and academic progress. Events such as the Dream Dash, Sports Day, The Long Ducker, School Cinema International Film Festival, Book Week, author visits and community celebrations have all contributed to a vibrant and enriching school experience.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our students, who have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, courage, and positivity, and to our staff, whose dedication, care, and commitment have made this year possible. I would also like to thank our parents for their trust and partnership throughout this founding year - whether attending assemblies, Parent Teacher Meetings, workshops, and school events, supporting trips and residentials, contributing to the Parent Committee, or engaging with us through surveys and feedback. Your involvement has been instrumental in shaping the school and strengthening our community.

As we close this first chapter and look ahead, we do so with great excitement and ambition. The foundations we have built this year are strong, and the future holds even greater opportunities for our children to grow, achieve, and thrive. I wish you all a wonderful summer and a bright future, and I look forward to continuing this journey together.
