The Middle School at Harrow International School Bengaluru incorporates Grades 6 to 8, when students are typically aged 11 to 14.
In the Middle School, our curriculum is designed to develop the essential and transferable learning skills which will allow our students to learn most effectively as they progress through the school. So, whilst our Middle School students are taught by specialist teachers in subject specific classes, the emphasis is on developing learning competencies as much as building subject-specific knowledge.
The curriculum is a broad one, so that Middle School students can experience a wide range of subjects delivered by our inspiring teachers before selecting the subjects they will focus on for IGCSEs in Grades 9 and 10. Their weekly schedule includes both the core curriculum of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and two Modern Foreign Languages, and additional subjects such as Art, Coding, Dance, Drama, Design Technology and Engineering, Music, and Physical Education.
Our Cultural Perception Programme, in which all Middle School students engage, ensures an appreciation of both the global perspective and the local culture in which our students live.
